Everything, although as we were on the top floor, it did get quite warm overnight and the fan provided didn’t quite cool the room down. Nevertheless, this summer (Autumn, as it’s now mid Sep) has been an Indian one at that with days exceeding 30+ deg.

The hotel was in the perfect spot to stay the night after arriving from Stansted airport late at night. We were able to check in late and the staff were super helpful with getting there and checking in.

Great character pub with excellent food and staff very helpful & friendly. Room was not large but was comfortable and what I'd expect for pub accommodation. Great value.

Check-in was a wonderful and personal, as the owner just happened by at the right time. The room was big, with a sitting area, a small table and stools, and a tea area, fully stocked.

To the side there is a public footpath that takes you on a scenic route through the farmland to Little Canfield, where we had dinner the night before heading off to Stansted for our early morning flight. We sat and ate dinner outside. There is a local pub and takeaways 5 mins walk away. Friendly reception and on time. Very nice layout.
