The hotel was in the perfect spot to stay the night after arriving from Stansted airport late at night. We were able to check in late and the staff were super helpful with getting there and checking in.

What a fantastic surprise! We booked the Cricketers last minute and, although it was late at night and rainy, we managed to find the pub where we were quickly shown to our two rooms. They were both warm and welcoming, with every amenity you could want. My grown daughter was thrilled with her room which was designed with a bit of pink. Ours was a bit more woodland themed and very serene. The bathrooms were top notch and mine was perfectly handicapped accessible. I have limited mobility so I could take a shower without risks. The breakfast was amazing with food cooked to order and many other delicious options. The entire complex is perfect and I wish we could have stayed longer. Nearby market town was SO fascinating for shopping and food!

Also, it is only a very short and easy walk to the train station. The check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. I had a peaceful nights sleep. The bar was lovely with a good choice of drinks. I didn't use the restaurant for dinner, so I can't comment on that.
