The warm and friendly atmosphere at the Red Lion from both owners and staff was genuine and welcoming. The restaurant had a very relaxed warm vibe. Good selection for breakfast and a wholesome tasty dinner menu. The bedroom/bathroom was comfortable, quiet, clean and well appointed.

The food at the restaurant was good. There was adequate parking space. The staff who welcomed us was friendly. The room was equipped with what we needed for the night and looked lovely.

We were lucky enough to be among the first guests after the take-over by new owners and the refurb of the rooms. What a beautiful room we had - no expense was spared. The decor details are thoughtful and stylish and consider the old character of the inn. The furniture is proper oak and good quality, the bed comfy, the bathroom finished to a high spec with all the creature comforts one likes to have when far from home. The breakfast was yummy and freshly prepared and the hosts were friendly and open to help where they could. And, the hot chocolate is divine. The pub was a lovely place to hang out in so all in all, a very pleasant stay and we'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Our room was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was large and had wonderful bath products and large, soft towels. We loved its proximity to Chatsworth House, close enough to walk to on a beautiful day. The staff reserved a table for us by the fire for our dinner.

Excellent food , chef Mark is exceptional delivering a unique beautiful pub experience with food that is anything but a pub experience, excellent chef level food with a tasting menu along with the daily menu , truly a 5 star experience, if you enjoy a glass of beer try the Jute , refreshing and fruity We will be back again Mark thank you for providing such a wonderful experience to stay for a few days and visit with Family
