The Golf Tavern has a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and water sports facilities in Haddington. Located around 31 km from Edinburgh Playhouse, the inn with free WiFi is also 31 km away from Royal Mile. The property is non-smoking and is situated 14 km from Muirfield.

John, the owner, and the rest of his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs during our stay. We landed at The Golf Tavern after a long journey from the states, and it was the perfect place to get settled before our 3 week trip around Scotland. Close to Edinburgh without paying Edinburgh prices. Experience the local culture in the pub at night with a pool table and darts. John even let us use his PC for a few minutes to accomplish a work task. We asked him if it was hard to run an inn, and he said no, "you just look after people" in his charming Scottish accent. 11/10 would recommend :)

The Golf Tavern is in an excellent location for an overnight stay. There was a good choice for dinner and the food was well cooked, plentiful and great value. Breakfast was even better. Best of all the staff - genuinely friendly as well as being efficient. We would happily stay there again

Great little find. Up in the area for a golf trip and needed a bed for the night. Room was small but was perfect for what we needed. Dinner in the pub in the evening was good, and the locals and staff friendly. Breakfast served the next morning included in the stay, although we felt the sausages could of been cooked a bit more.

The Tavern is situated in a quiet corner of the town, but is only a minute on foot from the river and close to the town centre. Our room was very comfortable and light and of a decent size. The carpet was perhaps a little tired and the bathroom is basic but perfectly functional and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant is a pleasant location. The staff were efficient and helpful. Car parking might be an issue from time-to-time, but we had no difficulty.

Was pleasantly surprised at the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness, the hospitality and the location. Perfect spot for a lovely walk to the riverside and St Mary's. Great location for bars and restaurants. However no need to dine elsewhere because the hotel menu was great. Dinner was delicious with a nice variety to suit many tastes and served in a lovely decorated dining room. Breakfast was served in a lovely area as well.

Property is self catering which surprised us, but the misinterpretation was our fault. However the owner very kindly offered us ample food for dinner and breakfast from her own kitchen. The property was perfect for a night stopover on a cycle tour

The breakfast was everything we could have expected. The location suited us well as we were at our daughters in Haddington for Christmas Dinner. We were delighted the room warm and inviting.
