We stayed overnight to go for a hike next morning, breakfast included in the price were very tasty. Team on the side was very accommodating & friendly. We liked the place and we returned for a lunch after the hike. The food was delicious. I think one of best things about the room itself was the beautiful view of the garden. And the water pressure in the showers was amazing! Only advice, rent a car. If you coming on a train you have about 2km hike by the road to the Inn.

Nice and comfy. Good bathroom. Breakfast good but very large. Maybe a choice of a smaller portion for light eaters. Dinner menu not available on the website. Staff smiley and friendly.

The Richard Onslow is a gorgeous hotel/inn, with really friendly and helpful staff, a very comfortable room, and delicious breakfast! I particularly liked the fact that there were coffee bags in the room, rather than instant coffee. It was also cool to be able to see the wattle and daub in the wall, which had been made into a lovely decorative feature and gave a really great sense of the building's history.

Check-in was seamless, with the staff on hand to free up parking space behind the pub (as they save their allocated spaces for guests). Room was as expected. Had a bed (which was fine), en-suite bathroom and various facilities (e.g. TV, kettle etc.). The food and the pub atmosphere was the real winner though. Food was delicious, for both breakfast and dinner. It's a lovely pub, right in the heart of Cranleigh, providing a warm fire and good beers. As a result, it was exactly what we were hoping for when booking the weekend away.
