Room, location and majority of staff were excellent, unfortunately one member of staff was quite rude when we first arrived and we actually ended up cancelling our dinner reservation there due to this and eating elsewhere. Luckily we didn’t see her anymore during our stay and the rest of the staff were great.

The room was fine, all clean and tidy. The en-suite was somewhat cramped, but functional. Dinner was a mixed bag, the starter was very good but the main course disappointing, gave the impression that it has been re-heated via microwave. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly.

Jayne and I loved our stay at the beautiful Four Seasons Guest House. The large rooms were very comfy and the views from the window were wonderful. It is stumbling distance from some lovely taverns and cafés, so there’s plenty of choice for everyone. We loved the castle, the many caverns and breathtaking walks in the surrounding area of Castleton. We look forward to visiting again soon.
