Family owned business: Hosts are great providing information about the area (we had also a guided tour of Tortuguero with him). Apartment super clean and nice place outside in the garden to rest. Location: San Fracisco which is calmer and more authentic compared to Tortuguero village

I loved that there was a fully equipped kitchen and the location was the best, across the beautiful beach; and access to the river from the other side; also close to town and restaurants, Tortuguero Park, and more.

I like that we recieved hammocks to enjoy the shaded area in front to watch the wild waves of the Atlantic ocean (not swimmable). The beach is walkable. The host was friendly and informative. He recommended Soda de Leite for dinner. We went for lunch and it was delicious. Close to a market and had a kitchen to cook in. The air conditioning was fantastic.Biking on Mother's day!Young couple

When you get off boat turn right walk 100 meters and look for sign Tuanis Guest House on your right. If you see Roots tour office you have just passsed it. The accomodation is on the bank of the canal so a perfect view. Room is a good size, hot water and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpfull Purda Vida

Noise and air from the sea meant we did not hear any noise from neighbours and enjoyed fresh cool air coming into the room at night. Very comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom with hot shower. Enjoyed the pool and had a good dinner in the hotel. Very nice atmosphere and fantastic team of charming and efficient young waiters. Most of the clientele were over 60's groups of Canadians and Americans.

Located on a small farm you are surrounded by flowers and fruit trees with trees a short distance away where monkeys, sloth and toucan live. The sisters who run it are lovely (I only wish my Spanish was better) and provided dinner and breakfast which were exceptional. Easy to find with Waze and 15 minutes from La Pavona embarkation to Tortuguero. They also helped us book a guided canoe trip. A genuine and authentic experience.AllanYoung couple

For the turtle tour, our guide Alonso was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and answered all questions passionately. Watching the turtles was a magical experience that we will remember forever. The owner, Wilis, was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are rustic and very clean. Dinners and breakfasts are simple but tasty.SamFamily with young children
