Quirky little place. Great breakfast and a real guest house feel. Parking out back was tight but not bad. Location is good for concerts and a nice walk into the city.

Size of the room - v large. It had a really well-equipped kitchenette. Big bed. Kind staff. Given how close it was to a major junction in inner Melb it was very quiet. Close to CBD, 2 trams & a bus & great restaurants (Kew is new emerging dining destination). I felt v safe.

The location was a winner- right next to Queen Victoria market and popular food spots. The hotel lobby is always kept clean, and so was our room. Staff were friendly. The laundry room was just next to our room so that was very convenient.

Denis was really welcoming and engaging. The staff were really helpful. Wonderfully clean and quiet. Didn't expect the incredible sound-proofing and the lovely balcony. We had hoped to use the hot tub, but it was temporarily out of action. The Gaylord restaurant is world class; Indian, fresh, innovative, delicious! We plan to come back with a big group. The hotel's location is fantastic: 2 tram lines at the doorstep.

The owner, manager, reminded me of the ancient art of a great innkeeper hotelier. His interest in and care for clients was quite unique and much appreciated. Otherwise, the location, cleanliness, space, kitchen, balcony were much appreciated.
