What can I say but WOW! From the minute we stepped into Shepherd's Tree, we experienced top notch hospitality and the greatest service. So much attention has been paid to the littlest of details to make your stay here memorable. Rooms are gorgeous and luxurious. Food is great. Pool is relaxing. And what a view! The highlight, of course, is the game drives, of which we really enjoyed. Answer was a wonderful guide with an extensive knowledge of the wildlife, and we loved how he also incorporated stories of local culture, folklore, and language into the explanation of each animal we saw. Hopefully, this stay at Shepherd's Tree won't be the last, as it is surely a highlight not only during our trip to South Africa, but also all our travels.

This stay exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived and were treated to a lemongrass-scented refreshing towel and a thirst-quenching welcome drink to the well-organized departure and everything in between, this was an incredible vacation. Thabo was our game drive expert and dazzled with numerous sitings of the big five, including two leopards and lions at sunset. He was professional, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. I would also highly recommend visiting the Amani Spa. The treatments there were out of this world and unique. Kumo and Patricia did incredible work and the massages were therapeutic and relaxing. Mike served up breakfast with a smile. The food was outstanding. The ribs served at lunch were the best I've ever had and the breakfast was varied, plentiful and delicious. Already looking forward to a stay again next year. Thank you!

Spectacular lodge nestled against the mountain with rooms that offer privacy and open vistas across the bushveld . Luxury accommodation with superb service.Answer , the ranger was knowledgeable and had incredible insights into the animals and the culture of the area . Food is executive chef quality , Lee deserves a special mention. A lovely surprise for my daughter and her fiancée with the way they decorated their room in celebration of their recent engagement . This lodge is unforgettable and highly recommend .
