The wild cat conservation project was made official in 2004 with the establishment of the Non profit Cat Conservation Trust which is a registered NPO with PBO status. Richard and Marion are passionate about the wildlife and both have many years experience in conservation and hosting clients. Marion has her PhD which is in the Environmental Sciences.

Situated in a safe malaria free area 60km north west of the town of Cradock (and 100km north east of Graaff Reinet), Clifton Game Farm is host to many wildlife species as well as the small wild cat centre, the Cat Conservation Trust. There are several different types of accommodation units available.

Set the in eastern Karoo this 1620ha game farm offers peace and quiet in a safe environment where both children and animals are welcome. For security reasons check in closes at 6pm - NO LATE CHECK IN ALLOWED. • We are not in Cradock but 60km north west of the town on a game farm. We are 100km north east of Graaff Reinet. • There is no tv and very limited cell reception. There is wifi • There is no generator during loadshedding but wifi will work • The swimming pool is currently not available. DIRECTIONS: • Do NOT take Blaawkrantz/Bloukrans Road off the N10 – the gate is locked. • Do NOT take N10 if you can help it – it has a lot of traffic and trucks and the Aloedale gravel road to us is 31 km and not a good road. • Do NOT take the R401 off the R61 – the gates are locked. • You can ONLY use the ALOEDALE / FISH RIVER turnoff from the R61 to get to us. • The gravel road to us off the R61 is 10.7 km – it is NOT FOR VERY LOW VEHICLES (eg bmw, Mercedes, sports cars).
