With breathtaking 180 degree ocean and mountain views across Walker Bay to Hermanus and on to Cape Town, the Ocean Retreat has been custom designed to ensure guests live in tandem and harmony with nature. Upon arrival guests step into the lounge area to be greeted by spectacular views across the turquoise waters of Walker Bay to the mountains that cradle Hermanus providing a picture perfect backdrop. The spacious lounge area has been furnished to enhance relaxation and comfort. A wood burning fireplace set into a concrete pillar forms the centre piece of the large, open style, living area and provides a warming focal point for colder nights. Guests can sit around the large stone topped island as they prepare food, enjoy a drink or discuss the days adventures. Customized cabinetry contains all your modern conveniences including a Breville coffee machine to kick start the day whilst a separate scullery provides ample utility space. A large braai room extends from the kitchen area and includes dining space for 8 allowing family and friends to come together and share a hearty meal washed down with your drink of choice which might include the locally produced world class wine. An expansive deck area flows seamlessly from the living and braai areas and includes a heated pool to cool off in as well as a fire pit for those starry nights. All bedrooms comfortably sleep two, are individually styled and enjoy stunning fynbos and ocean views.

Hi I'm Rozanne and I'm delighted to be your host at The Ocean Retreat in beautiful Romansbaai Beach & Fynbos Estate. I speak English, Afrikaans and German so feel free to test me in whatever language works for you! The very first time my husband and I visited Romansbaai we knew we would be back so much so that we decided to build a home away from home that we truly love and look forward to sharing. So many things make Romansbaai special but sometimes the simple things in life are best.... a morning walk through the fynbos spotting some zebra or springbok, teaching our little one to catch crabs in the rock pools, preparing locally produced food on the braai and washing it down with some top quality wine....the list goes on and on and on! Having spent so much time in the local area, my grandparents lived above Gansbaai harbour, we are truly delighted to welcome guests to their little piece of paradise and are excited about sharing all our tips and secrets with them.
