We recently moved to Vietnam and found this beautiful 6 bedroom/5 bathroom house that we are slowly renovating and decorating. 50 metres from the peaceful Saigon river in a quiet cul-de-sac, it is minutes to the best bars, restaurants and shopping in Vietnam - by foot. We share the large ground floor planted terrace but have individual access to the 2 properties. We also share the enormous rooftop terrace - again with private access. However, the small house is entirely at your disposal. *We've just added a rooftop hot/cold shower - surrounded with tropical plants and a hammock! These 2 villas are our home - the smaller villa we have renovated and decorated for family and friends so that even if we are not here, they have their own fully equipped personal space, which is now at your disposition. We spent several months looking for, and finding what we think is ideal for Sai Gon - quiet street with no traffic, upmarket and respectful neighbours in Thao Dien (the expat quarter) which caters for all nationalities and their needs and fanatic in it's security. Some of the best restaurants and shops in Vietnam reflect this, and all within walking distance. It is less than 30 minutes to anywhere - airport, parks - and is across the bridge from district 1 or downtown.

Cecile and I have have spent most of our adult lives living and working overseas - Asia, Europe, Africa, US, Australasia. We love nature, camping, good food and a bit of culture thrown in. Recently moved to Saigon, we have a huge house that we'd love to share with you. Tons of outdoor space upstairs and downstairs - you can totally relax with our new outdoor shower on the terrace upstairs!

This used to be the Journalists quarter - quiet and safe. One of the most sought after locations for expats, it is minutes to international schools, street food, upmarket shopping and restaurants. The Sai Gon river winds around the district, giving it an island secluded feel, and is just across the bridge from District 1 (downtown). Almost everyone here rides a motorbike - or uses a grab taxi - food deliveries too. We have a spare motorbike (if working) for cheap rentals.
