The Duff Green Mansion was built in 1856 by Duff Green for his bride, Mary Lake Green. The home was built as a mansion for the most idyllic of lives. Duff and Mary only lived in the home for 7 years when the region was ravaged by war. Duff saved his home by turning it into a hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers. The historic home is now a luxury boutique hotel featuring 9 updated rooms with ensuite baths, beautifully appointed common areas for you to gather with your large group or just the two of you.
Native Vicksburgers the Caldwells are committed to the history and progression of Vicksburg. Thirty plus year veterans of the real estate industry in Vicksburg the Harley and Rick embraced the hospitality industry of the historic city in the last decade, now owning the antebellum properties Duff Green Mansion, Steele Cottage and the Inn at Cedar Grove Mansion along with a like historic property, Halpino.
The Duff Green Mansion is located in Old Town Vicksburg boasting neighbors Anchuca Bed and Breakfast, the Nurses Quarters, Lakemont, the George Washington Ball, the Martha Vick, Plain Gables, the Baer House, the Guider Home and Steele Cottage. All of these surround the Old Court House Museum and are within walking distance of downtown Vicksburg filled with shopping, museums, wonderful restaurants and bars.
