The Downen House was built in 1889 by prominent Pueblo land developer and Civil War veteran, Thomas J. Downen. Our house has been home to several individuals that were very influential in the development of the City of Pueblo and surrounding areas. The Downen House Bed and Breakfast is three story Victorian home, with a wrap around porch complete with a swing and rocking chairs. We have walking paths throughout the property and a Garden Room to enjoy your coffee or an evening cocktail. Breakfast is served daily in our beautiful dining room. Also in the dining room is a small refrigerator with complimentary refreshments, complimentary snacks and a microwave. Our home has all the charm of the 1890's but with all the modern comforts you expect. Our rooms have comfortable beds and linens, refrigerators with complimentary refreshments, coffee and coffee makers, ceiling fans, supplemental room controlled heat and air conditioning (primary heating and air conditioning is provided by the house systems), wine glasses and bottle openers, as well as complimentary...

Your hosts are Tamara and Scott Gilbertsen. We have been blessed to live in the front range of Colorado for over 20 years and especially love southeast Colorado.
