You’ll be staying in one of Seattle’s burgeoning neighborhoods, located near downtown and just around the corner from a dozen stellar restaurants. Stay home and play foosball in the basement, have a drink on the new deck, or head out to Othello park for a show! The main level of this house features an open floor plan that flows seamlessly between the living room, kitchen, and dining area. A pair of beautiful double doors in the kitchen let in a flood of natural light and open up to the fenced-in backyard and a brand new elevated deck. The kitchen provides bar seating that encourages family and friends to sit together in the mornings over coffee or to keep each other company during meal prep while the dining table has generous seating for up to ten. Don’t worry — we have a handful of extra chairs stowed away that you can’t see in the photos. Stainless steel appliances, chic white countertops, and functional finishes adorn the kitchen, which is equipped with a glass-top stove and plenty of usable surface area. Of course, the food scene in Seattle is excellent, but just in case you’re feeling like a night in, the cabinets here are well-appointed with all the necessities for cooking meals at home for those nights when you feel like staying in or for a big weekend brunch. Don’t worry about coffee or bringing your own water, either — we’ve got you covered with a filter in the fridge and stocked coffee. In the living room, enjoy a midcentury-modern-style sectional couch and a mounted television. One of the two bathrooms is on this second level of the home, too, and provides a shower finished with subway tile and stocked with hygiene basics. In the five tidy bedrooms — each of which has its own window and a wall heater for personalized comfort — you will find 4 comfortable king-sized beds and one full-sized bed. The streets are lined with a combination of beautiful older homes; recently-built, modern townhomes; and a growing number of trendy eateries and pubs. Our neighborhood is proud of its reputation for efforts at sustainable living, which include urban gardens and a commitment to a bike-and-pedestrian-friendly community and infrastructure. We enjoy living in a neighborhood with a walk score of 76, where dining and entertainment are often within walking distance. Just ask, and we’re more than happy to share recommendations and local gems! The larger Beacon Hill area is also known for being home to some of the most impressive metroparks the state has to offer, where you can enjoy those Pacific Northwest vistas and work off some of the vacation dining. Othello park is the closest to this home, and they sometimes host outdoor movie screenings and shows — check the local event calendars! Meanwhile, the Van Asselt Wade Pool and the John C Little Spray Park are great for kids, and we're only a short drive from the larger parks of North Beacon Hill, including the enormous Jefferson Park (and golf course!), Dr. Jose Riza park, as well as the Daejeon, Dearborn, and Sturgus parks.
