The house is located in the central of Haparanda only 1 km from the Finnish border, You can easily walk to Finland. The house has a garden and the appartment is on the ground floor with it´s own patio. It´s similar to rent a cottage where you have to fix your own meals, mend your own bed and clean up after you. The appartment is well equipte, have access to free wifi but there is no television. You can park your car beside the entrance to the appartment wich is located on the right side of the house toward the garden.

Me and my husband lives in the house on the first floor. We like culture, travelling, music, hiking, kayaking, collecting berries and mushrooms. We also pick stones to make jewelry and work in the garden. You may find me on my instagram; (anki_kemi) and you can use (hashtag) # ankisapartment

There is brochures with information in the apartment about some attractions in the neighbourhood. There is a nice walkway beside the Torne river where you can walk all the way to Finland. And there you have a rural museum and also Aines museum of art. Haparanda is located near the sea and the Torne river and there is many lakes nearby for visiting, bathing or fishing. South of Haparanda you have a arcipelag where you can find the islands Seskarö with a White guide restaturant (about 21 km) and Sandskär (access by boat) which is a national park. If you go upstream Torne river there are many picturesque places to visit i.e. cafe/shop/secondhand Taavolagården (5 km) and Kukkolaforsen where there is Museum of fishing and a Whiteguide restaurant(12 km). A little bit furter upstream you can visit the modern farmhouse of Pesula (24 km) and they also have a shop. In Korpikylä (37 km) you can visit a shop with exclusive clothes and a restaurant. If you continue further north you will find Luppioberget (64 km) with it´s White guide restaurant and a scenic wiew. From Luppioberget it´s only 8 km to the town Övertorneå where you can pass to Finland and take the Finnish side back to Haparanda.
