Villa Lux is set in the small Lux de Tavira condominium in the old town of Luz de Tavira. Luz is only 3 miles from Tavira and has a train station only a 5 minute walk away. The house is well-appointed with a contemporary décor of tiled floors and modern light paint. There is an open plan living / dining area leading onto the large kitchen. We now have full fibre broadband installed with speeds up to 500Mbps. 1 double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with WC, sink and shower, along with a second shared bathroom. To the rear of the property the lounge windows open to a pretty stone courtyard with space to relax, sunbathe or dine. . To the front is another terrace that allows an easy access and full view of the pool. There are several very good local restaurants walking distance from the property also a new bakery / cafe has opened close to the house. Please note that if you require additional cleaning / bedding during your stay this can be arranged for an extra charge.

English host - we have owned this property since 2017 and love spending time in Portugal. As we use this house ourselves, we always want to ensure that everything is in full working order and the house is fully equipped. We use a property management company and take the feedback from our guests seriously, responding as quickly as possible to any potential issues. We have recently replaced the fridge / freezer with a new one and have redecorated the bedrooms. The condominium itself is currently undergoing a programme of total external redecoration to all the houses which should be completed in early 2024 which we are very excited about. Luz de Tavira has several good quality local restaurants along with a selection of small cafes and bars. A Carpintaria is our favourite restaurant and is only a 10 minute walk from the house. O Forno is another restaurant within easy walking distance, with a very local feel to it. There are also several small supermarkets which sell the essentials. The nearest main supermarket is a 5 minute drive (Aldi / Pingo Doce), and Tavira has a very wide selection of supermarkets. The local train station is only a 5 minute walk with regular service into Tavira and Faro for only a couple of Euros each way. Taxis are very easy to order through Uber.
