Tavira is a calm and peaceful city, full of customs and traditions. Stroll to sit down to a local seafood meal at a variety of restaurants nearby. Cafes, restaurants and markets are accessible on foot. You will be close to Avenida Ria Formosa, where you can take the boat to Ilha de Cabanas and Praia de Cabanas - a beautiful white sand beach on the Atlantic coast. You will be around 47 km from the Ria Formosa National Park, known for its network of islands, marshes and channels, and a popular place to visit for the resident flocks of flamingos.
