A warm welcome awaits you at the Solar Branco Eco Estate. Choose from the 8 luxury suites and cottages on our family run country estate . Built in the 1800s, the estate has now been thoughtfully and stylishly renovated, balancing heritage, luxury and sustainability. With a minimum guest age of 16, we offer a peaceful environment for adult travellers. We are located on the island of São Miguel, in the historical citrus growing town of Livramento. Just 5 minutes drive from the main town of Ponta Delgada, you’ll find this calm, secluded and tucked away spot is your ideal base for exploring the island. Accommodation: We have 4 suites in the Solar (Main house) + Sea View Room - a corner room with east and south facing windows, king size bed, desk, fridge and ensuite bathroom with rain shower + Partial Sea View Room - a south facing room with king size bed, desk, fridge and ensuite bathroom with rain shower + Mountain View Room - a north facing room with king size bed, dining table, sofa, fridge and ensuite bathroom with rain shower + Superior Studio - a studio apartment with separate entrance and small balcony, open plan bedroom / lounge with king size bed and sofa, ensuite bathroom with rain shower, kitchen with dining table Outside of the main house, we have 4 cottages in restored farm buildings. + Deluxe Villa, a 2 storey detached cottage with lounge, kitchenette, terrace, internal garden, bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with rain shower. + Superior Villa, a 2 storey cottage with lounge, kitchenette, bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with rain shower. + 2 Superior Villa, each with lounge, separate kitchen, bathroom with rain shower and mezzanine bedroom with king size bed. Located in farm land close to the main town of Ponta Delgada, you are more likely to see our neighbourhood cows rather than crowds of people. The property is in a rural location 5 minutes by car from the main town of Ponta Delgada. We are close enough to access the facilities of the city, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. We strongly recommend that guests hire a car as the best way to use our estate as your base to explore the island. Public transport on the island, including taxis, is limited. As we are in the countryside, we are NOT within walking distance of supermarkets or restaurants.
