The Retiro de Basto property is comprised of three residences: one T5 house and two T2 houses. These residences collectively share access to a spacious swimming pool with a panoramic garden and a recreational field. Each residence stands independently, featuring its own outdoor area and private barbecue zone, available for full rental. Retiro de Basto is a resort surrounded by the lush nature of the Minho region which is renowned for its enchanting landscapes as well as its rich eno-gastronomic culture. Located in Soutelo de Ribas, Celorico de Basto (Braga) is a privileged and quiet location, being at the same time conveniently close to towns and villages of Basto area, as well as to some of the most beautiful historical towns of Northern Portugal; Porto is just 1-hour drive away. Celorico de Basto is one of the stages of the "Ecopista do Tâmega", a stunning 40-kilometre pedestrian and cycle path along the Tâmega river, marked by the vineyards of Vale do Tâmega and the beautiful views of Serra do Marão, Alto da Senhora da Graça and the Alvão Natural Park. Also, Retiro de Basto is just 1 hour from the beautiful Peneda-Gerês National Park (47 km), the only natural park in Portugal with this classification. In and around the park, you can enjoy many leisure activities such as hiking along mountain trails, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, paragliding and downhill mountain biking. Retiro de Basto is located on the "Rota do Romanico" (Route of the Romanesque), a fascinating route that crosses the Sousa, Douro and Tâmega valleys and brings together 58 monuments that are part of the architectural heritage of Romanesque origin in northern Portugal. In addition to these activities, Minho is one of the reference regions for wine and food tourism being Vinho Verde's demarcated wine region, where several wineries promote tastings and guided tours of their vineyards and productions. The Minho cuisine it's also definitively worth a try: delicacies such as Bacalhau a Braga (Braga-style cod), rojões, lamprey or the delicious Abade de Priscos pudding are popular in Minho cuisine.
