Take your pick of the outdoor areas both upstairs for alfresco dining or sheltered on the ground floor in the garden. Fire up the BBQ, pour a cold drink and admire the spectacular view. For indoor days during the colder months, stay toasty by the fire and admire the scenery from the comfort of the couch making use of the WiFi, TV and DVD player. When you feel like exploring, take the 10-minute stroll down into town and to beach. Grab a tasty bite to eat from the local cafe, or stop by one of the restaurants and bars. Watch the Hector Dolphins swim at the Akaroa Harbour or take a stroll through the beautiful terraced gardens, take a step back and admire the art pieces at the Akaroa Museum or watch as the water flows down along the renown Newtons Waterfall! Relax and unwind with uninterrupted harbour views, or explore everything on offer at this fantastic Akaroa location - Pointers awaits. Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the horizontal wooden slats in the deck the deck barrier is below 1 metre high and there is a retaining wall without a barrier, all guests should take care in these areas due to the risk of note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
