I fell in love with this amazing heritage building some years ago and purchased the property and continued on to present it as a boutique guesthouse. Each previous owner had lovingly put their stamp on it so it was in amazing condition to continue on with upgrades and renovations to what it is today.

Situated on the main street of Riverton, La Riviera is within walking distance to most amenities and just a short drive to the rest of Western Southland's highlights. Jacob's River Estuary is a stroll from the guesthouse and the famous Riverton Rocks and Taramea Bay are just a few kilometers away. You can gather mussels off the rocks or go floundering in the harbour, collect the many beautiful different rocks of the area or just enjoy the natural beauty of Moore's Reserve bush walks with tracks of varying length which lead to an amazing circular view of the area. Travel to Colac Bay, Cosy Nook, Monkey Island, Gemstone Beach and much more - all just a short day trip away. We have great restaurants in Riverton where you can get beautiful seafood and blue cod, or whitebait when it is in season.
