At the far end of the southern tip of Karmøy, with the lighthouses facing the Skudefjord and the North Sea, lies the charming sailing sailing town of Skudeneshavn. The story goes back to the early 1800s when herring fishing created hectic activities in the city and what we today call the Old Town grew. Today, approx. 130 houses and seahouses. There is a particularly good atmosphere in Skudeneshavn. Here you can stroll and enjoy the tranquility of beautiful architecture, taste freshly made waffles and coffee in pleasant cafés, visit exciting galleries, experience sizzling festival life, and explore great hiking terrain, beaches and archipelago. Many possibilities of shorter or longer trips from our campsite: to the town, seaside, right from our campsite you get to the mountains, where are excellent trails. Geocaching is very popular in our area. Golf club is our neighbour.
