The villa is located in a family friendly area, close to the woods and mountains. You can get dressed to go straight through the countryside, in the mountains, hike on skis or on foot to the sea, the center of Kabelvåg, or simply enjoy the tranquility of nature on the terrace. The villa is on one level with easy access and private parking. There is a playground right outside the house which guests can use. Minimum stay at Markveien villa is 3 days.
I was born and raised in Lofoten, working on offshore vessels in the North Sea. One of my passions are mountain hikes and walks in the woods. Therefore, I chose to stay here in Markveien, where I can get all dressed up to go straight out into the countryside.
Here you are close to nature, yet centrally located so you can choose to go to the center of Kabelvåg and harbor there, or go to Svolvaer nearest town. It starts hiking trails right at the house, and in winter you can dress on your skis and go straight in groomed ski trail which is 50 meters from the house, or at the summit of the mountains situated nearby. 100 meters from the house runs the paved trail to Bivouac at Prestvannet, from here you do also continue on a gravel road in the woods until Svolvaer. There is also a water 100 meters from the house where you can swim in the summer. You can also just choose to enjoy the silence and the sun on the two sunny terraces while the kids play on the playground at the house. There is no through traffic since the house is located in a roundabout. Kabelvåg has good bus, and in the center is 1 km away there are restaurants, grocery, bakery, kiosk and various other shops. There are also aquarium, museum and gallery in Storvågan which is 1 km away. Svolvær town located 6 km away, here is the lot to see, and all the shops you could want. There are also downhill slopes that can be used in winter.
