Laundry facilities, Wi-Fi and a sunny garden with terrace, table, chairs and barbecue. Extra bedroom 5m2 with bunk beds (2 pers) is available. On the first floor is the 3 person apartment which can be rented together or separately. The floor has a wooden floor which despite the extensive insulation can cause some noise nuisance. Use of private sauna on request. You can walk directly from your apartment into the sauna. It is possible to bring your own horse. We are happy to give you all information on request. We are Marc and Sylvia and enjoy our little oasis in the dunes of Heemskerk every day. The best of both worlds, where we live in the midst of nature amidst the hustle and bustle of the cities around us, with their great cultural offerings. Sylvia has a small dog shelter (completely separated from the guesthouse) and many owners regularly sigh that they would like to stay with us just like their dog. Why not?' we thought at the time. Marc himself has realized two beautiful apartments in the old barn at the back of our property. And because we have four horse boxes free in our indoor stable, guests with their own horses can come and stay here to enjoy unique rides in the dunes and on the beach. We share our grounds with our horses, dog, stable cats and chickens. We are happy to pick up a cackling egg for your breakfast. Heemskerk is relatively unknown, but has so much to offer. Our terrain borders the protected dune area, where large grazers roam around. Numerous birds visit our garden. The beach can be reached on foot, by bike, on horseback or by car. There is a huge cultural offer around us and we are happy to give you the inside tips.

The dune has been inhabited since prehistoric times. In museum Het Huis van Hilde you can learn all about this region. Now it is a horticultural area and the fields are full of flowering tulips, peonies, sunflowers, etc. Along the road you can buy these flowers, vegetables, sweet strawberries and all kinds of pumpkins. You walk into the dunes. For cyclists and horsemen the entrance to the dune is a little further away. Through the dune you reach the beach with numerous beach pavilions where it is good to relax. In the dune you can visit Gasterij de Kruisberg, the Scottish highlanders are legendary. You can park your horse there for a pleasant rest. Furthermore, there are several star restaurants in the area and you can eat the best Sushi in the Netherlands. Or rather a cosy eatery? In the immediate vicinity you will find Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar. The offer of Amsterdam may be known. But the cheese market of Alkmaar, or the less known Frans Halsmuseum in Haarlem is definitely worth a visit. You can go to the Zaanse Schans, De Keukenhof, or rather an alternative bulb route lags de Rijp? Or a day of wellness, indoor skiing, ice skating, blokarting on the beach...
