We are a 3 acre permaculture farm nestled in the janda baik mountains. Staying in the farm stay you can experience a bit of what it means to be part of nature. As city folk we are always busy with work and life that we seldom feel connected with nature and our environment. And the food are bought in supermarkets and restaurants such that we don’t even know where it comes from. Growing food in farms allows children to understand its not money that sustains us but actual living things in earth that produces everything we eat. Staying in our villa you should not expect air conditioned rooms and flush toilets. Our way of life is to tend the earth not harm it. We collect the water from rainwater harvesting techniques and we practice other conservation techniques that do not harm the earth. There’s no harsh chemicals there’s no poison fogging so please be aware and attentive about the living creatures living amongst us. Farm animals share the same space. Don’t threaten them and they’ll leave you alone except for mosquitoes. So please bring mosquito cream. We have mosquito traps for the rooms but we don’t actively kill it. Our toilets are eco friendly compost toilets that do not pollute the rivers and seas like typical flush toilets. As such they are placed about 80ft away from the rooms. By composting your waste you are actively taking care of our world and contributing to the regeneration of our soil which because of modern agriculture we are losing some 50 million tons annually. Compost toilets are not old fashion toilets that buries your night water in the ground but by using bokashi bran that we make, actively turns waste into soil in a safe fast and odorless way. If you like to go to an air conditioned resort with a pool, this is NOT the place:-)

Off the beaten trail, Tirtha Quddus is run by Ahmad Abas and Safia Ruzanna, a married couple and their sons. The farm is also home to a menagerie of guests from countries like Turkey, France, England, Uzbekistan, and Russia, who come all the way to Tirtha Quddus to learn practical and modern methods of permaculture.
