There are so many exciting things to do and see near Downtown Guadalajara! Here are some of my favorite personal experiences: Temple of the Sanctuary of Guadalupe: Houses a valuable collection of sacred art, including paintings, sculptures and relics, it is a site of pilgrimage and devotion for local Catholics and visitors from around the world. The basilica houses an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, patron saint of Mexico, who is venerated and adored by the faithful. El Andador Alcalde: It is an emblematic pedestrian street located a few steps from the Royal Sanctuary. It is one of the most vibrant and busiest areas of the city, known for its historical and cultural charm. Along the Andador Alcalde, you will find a wide variety of attractions, shops, restaurants and activities to enjoy. Guadalajara Cathedral: An impressive church located in the heart of the historic center of Guadalajara. Its neo-Gothic architecture and ornate interiors are impressive. Plaza de Armas: The main square of Guadalajara, where you can enjoy live music, traditional food stalls and observe the daily life of the city. Teatro Degollado: A beautiful theater with neoclassical architecture, famous for its stage and its magnificent organ. Hospicio Cabañas: Houses one of the most important artistic treasures of Mexico, the murals of José Clemente Orozco. Expiatory: The beautiful church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with its Gothic architecture and beautiful stained glass windows, is a place worth visiting. Regional Museum of Guadalajara: A museum that exhibits the history and culture of Guadalajara and its surroundings, with an extensive collection of art and historical artifacts. Tlaquepaque: Famous for its traditional crafts. Here you will find art galleries, craft shops and restaurants with typical cuisine. Paseo Chapultepec: A vibrant avenue lined with bars, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. It is a popular place to walk, enjoy the nightlife and taste the local gastronomy.
