The house is amazing. It has the perfect items to make you feel at home. It is very big as compared to other houses in Japan. Futons are very comfortable, kitchen plenty of food to have breakfast and some beverages in the fridge. Rachel, the owner, is amazing, so interested in what we needed. She helped us a lot with everything. We would definitely love to go back to the house on our next visit. Thank you for everything Rachel.

We welcome you to join us in experiencing your own Kyoto at your own pace with the amenities to cater for your bespoke visit to this magical city we call home. The hotel is located in the Higashiyama Foothills above Sanjusangendo in the Kiyomizu Yaki Pottery District. There are still many small working kilns and pottery studios located in the neighborhood if you meander through the side streets. There are many hidden gems around the hotel which we are happy to secretly whisper to you during your stay! We are located near Tofuku-ji, Sanjyusangendo, Fushimi-Inari and Kiyomizu Temple. Within walking distance is also Senyuji, Chisakuin and The Kyoto National Museum founded in 1895 and with a modern wing designed by internationally acclaimed architect Taniguchi Yoshio. Our local high street has a variety of local grocery stores, supermarkets, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. There are many fine dining options including Japanese, Italian and French restaurants and wonderful options in the surrounding five star hotels. There are also fantastic shopping in the area for unique gifts including beautiful textiles, pottery, kitchenware and Japanese tea and sweets.
