Magnolia Japan Co. Ltd was founded in 2013 in Tokyo. Our first business was running a cafe in Tokyo for nine years but have now relocated to Karatsu. Here we have a yoga studio and bed and breakfast accommodation, but also continue online orders for cakes and baked food. Sean and Ikuko will do their best to help you have a wonderful visit.

Green Flamingo is well situated between Karatsu Castle and Nijonomatsubara pine forest, and only a few minutes' walk from beautiful Karatsu Bay. Your cozy room has a desk, a table and chairs and its own balcony, but you can also use our spacious resort-style roof terrace when the weather is good. Of course, we will happily pick you up from the station when you arrive and can give help and advice about the attractions of Karatsu and the surrounding area.

Karatsu is a hidden gem in many ways. The views of the bay from Kagamiyama and from the top of the castle are spectacular. Many people travel here just for the 5km drive or cycle through Nijonomatsubara pine forest. November's Kunchi festival attracts thousands, and of course rustic Karatsuyaki pottery is world famous. There are plenty of stores and actual worktops around town to visit. Yobuko morning market, which is famous for squid and other seafood is close-by and easy to visit, while Imari and Arita are a pleasant drive away. The town is walkable, but we also have bicycles for guests to use.
