Pina and Pietro give you a warm welcome to "Rocca di Cerere" brand new charming hospitality dedicated to the homonymous fortress of Hellenic origin, only a few minutes walk away. Pina and Pietro have been holding hands for a few decades, each cultivating their own interests: Pietro dealt with commerce from an early age, to then devote himself to architecture and, finally, end his career in Civil Protection. Pina, on the other hand, found her accomplishment in education: first teaching natural sciences, after dealing with evaluation of educational processes. Both have always had at heart the concept of hospitality, so much so that their home has always been open to friends, both personal and of their son Francesco Paolo and future wife Claudia, always sharing a meal, a bed and a smile: manifestation of a form of authentic and genuine 'sicilinianità', based on hospitality, which is lost in the night of the Island's time. Now, having retired, they have strongly desired to be able to follow up on their everlasting passion; welcome, therefore, to "Rocca di Cerere" rooms & suite: not guests, but friends.

Property information

"Rocca di Cerere" is a complex of four different holiday homes, named: "Venere", "Kamuth", "Euno" and "Calliope" The houses, completely renovated, are all built on the first floor of a building overlooking Via Lombardia, the access road to the homonymous Castle, and a continuation, in the most monumental area, of Via Roma, the main road that crosses the entire upper town. The houses "Venus" and "Calliope" face the charming Castello di Lombardia while the houses "Kamuth" and "Euno", also on the adjacent Rocca di Cerere, already home to the cult of the homonymous Goddess and enjoy one splendid panorama over the valley. All houses, fully equipped for two people, are air-conditioned and have all the necessary amenities, including free WiFi. "Venere" is also equipped with a large two-seater hydromassage bathtub. Below the structure there are numerous and ample free parking lots, bar, supermarket, restaurant / pizzeria and a few meters from the urban bus stop as well as two car sharing stations. Give yourself the pleasure of staying, depending on your needs, in these welcoming facilities where every promise will be kept.

Neighbourhood information

The structure is located in Via Lombardia - from which the neighborhood called in dialect of "Lummardì" - which leads to the homonymous and very close Castello di Lombardia, whose enormous fortified citadel, considered the largest in Sicily, extends above the area homes. The presence of the Castle with annexed the Pisan Tower, from whose top you can enjoy a vast panorama and the nearby cliff called "Rocca di Cerere" make the area of ​​the "Lummardì" district the most visited in the city. In particular, the Rocca di Cerere, also known by the locals as Rocca da Zeru (denomination of Arabic origin: Rwka da Ziru), is the flagship of the ancient historical center of the City of Enna, where it stands out at its highest point, contributing to its historic definition of "Urbs inexpugnabilis"; right from there, at 1,000 meters above sea level, it is possible to admire an unparalleled panorama, which looks into the luxuriant hinterland of Sicily, up to Etna ... and not only: "in the days of clear skies" says Pietro, "my Dad said it was possible to even see the sea! "
