Our agri-tourismo is the ultimate in seclusion only 17 km from down town Florence. Set in the Tuscan countryside our fifty hectre property is surrounded by forest. With the nearest house being more than a kilometre away our property we offer tranquillity and privacy in magnificent surroundings. our property is best accessed by rent-a-car however public transport comes to within 2 kilometres of our place. our road is 2km long, well maintained dirt road through the forest which is not lit at night so drive carefully. you can use our address to find us on goggle maps but it will not work on your car navi, we will send you instructions prior to your coming.
Sakiko and I have over 45 years combined experience in the tourism industry and were born in Japan and Australia respectively. Our passions are good food, sailing and cooking. Our food is mainly grown on our farm and we cook a fusion of Japanese and Italian food. Our other passion is our olive oil which won a gold medal at the international oil competition in Tokyo.
Our farm is near the small town of Le Case San Romolo and overlooks the Arno river. Le Case San Romolo was the scene of extensive allied bombing during WW2 as it was a billet for German officers, there is still an air raid shelter in our road. there is also a tabernacle on our farm erected in memory of a shepherd girl, who had an apparition of the Virgin Mary whilst camping with her sheep (maybe too many mushrooms for dinner). there is also bush-walking tracks. we are also only 30 minutes drive from the famed Chianti region, 1 hour from San Gimignano and Siena.
