Built in 1860, the Villa was previously an old millstone (Palmento). Completely renovated in 2022, the Villa is now a residence that serves as a luxury retreat in a location ensuring direct contact with nature and absolute quiet. The Palmento Villa is part of a private estate of approximately 40 acres with olive, almond, and magnificent carrubo trees, typical of the Mediterranean area. It is located inside the natural reserves of Pino d’Aleppo, a few kilometers from the Castello di Donnafugata and the town of Vittoria (RG). A luxury quiet place to relax, enjoy the countryside, take nice walks and enjoy the swimming pool, while being just a short distance from visiting some UNESCO heritage sites like Ibla, Modica and Scicli. The area is also known for wineries: Gulfi, COS, Valle dell'Acate and Arianna Occhipinti, to name just a few. Food in this area is just amazing from the local trattorie to the 2 star Michelin restaurants located in Ibla. The beaches of Scoglitti, Punta Secca, Marina di Ragusa and the beach of Randello that is itself a natural reserved area are a few minutes drive from the Villa. The Villa itself is a 20 minute drive from the Comiso airport and a bit more than an hour drive from the Catania airport. As a self-catering place, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. Villa Palmento has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 4, and 3 bathrooms. In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom contains two single beds and if needed can be combined as one double bed, along with an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. A third bathroom is located the living room and kitchen area. On the ground floor is located an outside patio. Close to Villa there is an independent small house dedicated to the caretaker of the property and also a liberty style Villa dedicated to the owners of the property in use only in certain periods of the year as a their personal vacation home.
