Great location in Sassari old town. Very clean, spacious and well presented with comfortable beds. Really convenient for local shops and restaurants. Air conditioning was great and good to have a washing machine and drier.

Casa Cavour is a large apartment compared to the classic apartments in the center of Sassari. It has very high vaults and we have tried to keep as much of the original as possible. The house has a splendid terrace of about 16sqm which overlooks the internal garden and where it is possible to eat or sunbathe. It is located in the center of the city of Sassari a few meters from the Duomo, the main squares, in the shopping street. The car park is only 50 meters away and has over 300 parking spaces for cars and motorbikes.

The city of Sassari is the historic urban center of the Capo di Sopra island. With its 546.08 km², it is the largest municipality in the region and the fifth largest in Italy. It stands on a limestone tableland that slopes to the north-west towards the Gulf of Asinara and the Nurra plain, while to the south-east the terrain is mainly hilly. The urban and suburban territory is characterized by valleys and gorges which deeply incise the plateau on which the city lies. Vegetable cultivations, olive groves and woods surround the urban center and constitute the peculiar landscape aspect of the entire eastern sector of the municipal territory. Sassari enjoys a warm temperate Mediterranean climate. Winters are relatively mild and humid, summers hot and dry, but breezy. Precipitation is mainly concentrated in the winter and autumn months. The rainfall data differ according to the altitude and the distance from the sea, the average in the municipal area is 588.2 mm/year, but notable differences are found in the stations located in the urban area and in particular in the southern districts, up to a maximum of 647.7 mm/year at the Serra Secca meteorological station, located at 310 meters above sea level. According to the US magazine Weatherwise, the climate of the Sassari area would be among the 10 most suited to the human species. More precisely, it is placed in 4th place worldwide, among the 10 cities with the most pleasant climate. The house is located in the center of Sassari, in Via Cavour, a few meters from the main square, Piazza d'ITALIA.
