Ballabio is the first village in Valsassina, famous for its majestic mountains with climbing walls (Falesia le torrette, Falesia la vaccarese). It is also a good starting point for hiking or mountain biking in nearby places such as the Pian delle Betulle, the Piani dei Resinelli (mining park with guided tours and climbing crags) and the Grigne with routes of varying difficulty and fascinating panorama.
