The house was built in 1892 and is among the oldest houses still standing in Akureyri. Located in the old town "Innbær" surrounded by lots of beautiful houses and greenery. Our home has a lot of character as an older house should and has a lot of local history connected to it, including serving as the first bank in Akureyri in 1904 among many other things. The garden and patio offer a great space for summertime activities and northern lights viewing in winter! Our house is very family friendly and is great for spending time with friends, having dinners or just playing board games!

My name is Julius and this is my home which I share with my wife Dorota and our son Henrik. I'm a painter among other things, so you'll see some of my paintings hanging around the house. We love the atmosphere of this house and the cottage feeling it gives. I'm quite fond of all things traditional and vintage so most of our furniture are either family heirlooms, second hand antiques or handmade by me, with some exceptions!

This is the best neighbourhood in Akureyrir, if not all of Iceland! It's surrounded by a tree covered hill, a nice pond and very quiet and calm atmosphere. It has a nationally popular ice cream shop called Brynja, a great sushi restaurant called Majó, a few museums in our streets inluding a toy museum. It's also only a 10-15 minute walking distance from the center of town where you have access to more shops, restaurants and sights.
