We loved our stay here so much. The incredible view, the friendly conversations with staff upon arrival, the help from staff to even arrange restaurant bookings if we needed, the semi/serviced villa (meaning our villa was clean, but we did not feel like the service was too much or intrusive) all made for a very relaxing and blissful stay. We will definitely return as soon as possible because we left feeling very refreshed.

White Springs Retreat, consists of 4 newly built, modernly designed holiday suites, which have all modern comforts. Located on an overgrown slope in the famous area of Xigia. They are the ultimate destination for a relaxing holiday with unobstructed, panoramic view of the sea, Kefalonia island, Peloponnese and east coast of Zakynthos! At a distance of just 2 minutes on foot you will find the beaches of Xigia and Pelagaki. The suites offer absolute peace away from the noise of daily life with breath-taking views of the Ionian Sea and wonderfully combine the beauty of the Zakynthian scenery with modern construction! The 4 separate suites feature a straightforward and contemporary style and are enclosed by spectacular stone walls that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, providing the guest with complete privacy. Each suite of 55sq.m can comfortably accommodate two guests and has an open layout, with its queen size bed being the center of the suite.The bedroom is surrounded by a wardrobe, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a magnificent bathroom, the shower of which, overlooks the Ionian blue. Equally seductive is the view from the suite bed, as it overlooks the blue of the pool blending with the blue of the sea and the horizon. The large balcony doors lead to their fully equipped terraces where you will experience unique moments. Each terrace has infinity pools with jacuzi, outdoor dining area, pool bed and outdoor sofas. Just imagine relaxing enjoying your cocktail overlooking the endless blue while listening to your favorite piece of music from your suite's modern sound systems. Dimitris - the owner- is a medical doctor, an orthopaedic surgeon. That means a very busy and stressed life, full of responsibility of other’s people life. A nature lover himself, he used to walk in the area with his favourite dogs, so to recharge his batteries. On these peaks, where everyone can see almost every corner of the island, he discovered this view. He spent hours there admiring the full moon and the rising sun emerging from the sea, and his thought was that this view should not be a privilege for his eyes only but for everyone. As a doctor, he has an inner need to heal. The Healing Springs which are located below the suites inspired him into creating a luxurious accommodation that combines pleasure and sanity. He believes that the healing qualities of these springs should be offered to everyone. Guests have the opportunity to swim in the caves that the water of the healing springs is coming from, and live a unique experience, a free of charge, natural spa experience. This is how the idea of offering the suites to others was born. It is a gesture of giving. Offering to travellers from all over the world the opportunity to explore horizons in a vibrant environment that activates every sense and emotion.
Xigia beach is a lovely pebbly beach with crystal blue waters, that deepen sharply. At first that might sound as a typical Ionian beach, however that is not the case. Xigia beach is the only one in Zakynthos and one of the few in Greece that show high Sulphur & Collagen concentration in the water, thus being a natural Sulphur spa. When swimming you may see the water's distinctive turbidity, as if there were something in the water that didn't totally dissolve. The water is naturally clean and pleasant, although a bit chilly, due to the cliffs and the depth of the ocean (only a few meters from the beach, the sea can be tens of meters deep). The Sulphur is gushing from a nearby cave and even though it has a distinctive and intense smell that it might prevent you from giving it a try, keep in mind that it has healing properties. Anyone with aches, pains, or arthritis would benefit from taking a bath at Xigia Beach in the Sulphur Sea water because the Sulphur in the water relieves some conditions. Additionally, it is said to help with cellulite removal and be beneficial for skin issues.
