Moundros Luxury Villa & Spa is located in the homonym settlement, dating back to 1500, in the central part of Rethymno prefecture, approximately 24 km southwest of the city of Rethymno. Surrounded by many traditional and picturesque villages and being equally away from the north and south side of the island Moundros Villa provides a great base for your summer excursions on the cretan countryside and mesmerising beaches. Stone walls, wooden ceilings, earthly tones, elegant decoration and furnishings are the key elements of Moundros Luxury Villa & Spa, giving off a relaxing ambience to the whole property. The 220 m2 newly restored Villa spreads in three levels and can comfortably accommodate 8 guests in its 4 en-suite bedrooms and up to 10 if needed. The exterior area of Moundros Luxury Villa & Spa covers 100m2 and offers many facilities including: - A private, 20 sq.m. swimming pool, 1,40m deep. The pool can be heated with an additional daily charge upon request. - The pool area is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and a poolside shower, so you can enjoy sunbathing at ease. - For al fresco dining, the gas BBQ and outdoor dining area provide everything you need in order to enjoy a self made family meal. - An outdoor sitting area with sofa and and an outdoor WC are also available by the pool. Starting January 1, 2024, a new Greek tax was introduced which is called the “Climate Crisis Resilience Charge”, requiring a fee of 10 euros per night from March to October and 4 euros per night from November to February. The amount needs to be paid in cash or by card upon your arrival at the villa.

Moundros is a picturesque village in the central part of the prefecture of Rethymno located approximately 24 km southwest of the city of Rethymno. The settlement has been there at least since 1500, as it is mentioned in all the 16th and 17th centuries Venetian censuses. Built at an altitude of 290 meters, with about 200 permanent inhabitants, the village of Moundros is divided into two neighborhoods. Atop a hill near Moundros village, we meet the deserted settlement of Nissi. Its remaining collased houses depict that this place has an important past. Among the dilapidated houses there survives the church of Saint George, while a few meters away there is the church of Panagia Nissiani.
