Traditional maisonette house in the mountainous village of Krousonas. It is stone built with a perfect combination of stone and wood. Built in 1925 and renovated in 2007. Heraklion is approximately 18 km away. The access to the village from Heraklion Airport "N. Kazantzakis" is easy through the junctions of the Airport - Heraklion - Chania National Road, Gazi and the newly constructed Gazi - Krousson. The house is ideal for people who love nature and tranquility. The harmonious combination of stone and wood gives the house a cool environment. The house has a ground floor single room with fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, living room and dining area. It has an internal wooden staircase to the upper floor where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a balcony overlooking the village and the pine-covered mountain. It is decorated in the traditional Cretan way and is ideal for those who want to feel the classic Cretan experience, without missing the modern comforts. Very good for winter and summer tourism since its distance from the beach of Amoudara is 14km.

The house is located in the neighborhood of Agios Georgios (traditional stone-built church with paved tiles and old fountains with running water). Behind the church of Agios Georgios there is the renovated old watermill. The village is at the southwestern foothills of Mount Psiloritis, built at an altitude of about 450 meters. From the village you can make mountain excursions (by car, bicycle, hiking), the Natura 2000 protected area and the "Livadi", full of apple-pear and walnut trees. The distance of the village from the plateau is about 9 km. The village of Krousonas has 3000 inhabitants and there are cafes, traditional tavernas with Cretan cuisine, gas stations, health center, pharmacies, bank and you can make your daily shopping from many supermarkets.
