GRAND Boutique Apartments were reconstructed in 2021 as a historical "listed building" and strongly reflect elements of the local cultural and architectural history. The building is located on the coastal road of the village "Afissos" and has very easy access. Only 7 meters separate the front of the building from a beautiful, clean sea in which one can swim or snorkel safely. The view of the sunset offers a different unforgettable experience every evening. A beautifully decorated inviting outdoor courtyard is ideal for breakfast and relaxation times. The apartments are particularly spacious and have a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for four people. The bedroom is handmade custom made by the well-known "PERENTES" carpenters. The bed is king size (2m X 2m) with a custom made luxury anatomical mattress. The set is completed by two bedside tables and a bedside table with mirror. The apartments are suitable for both summer and winter as they have air conditioning and an energy fireplace. Grand Studios are LGBTQ+-friendly and transgender safe.
Your hostess Georgia was well known in the village "Afissos" for her hospitality, even before she created GRAND Boutique Apartments, as she used to run the popular restaurant "Argo" in the same place. She now brings the same creative spirit and attention to detail to the apartments. Georgia is an artist: she paints and makes unique creations with nature's materials, such as pebbles and wood from the sea. She is also an amazing traditional cook! It is impossible to meet Georgia and not become friends, as she treats everyone like a member of the family!
Afissos is a beautiful small village, about 25 km from Volos. It is located on the south side of Pelion, built amphitheatrically overlooking the Pagasitic Gulf. Surrounded by lush greenery, Afissos is a nice family place with taverns and cafe-bars by the sea. Mythology says that Jason and the Argonauts stopped there for water before starting their long journey to Colchis. The area around Afissos has many sandy beaches, partly organised and partly secluded, such as Abovos, Lagoudi and Kalifteri. Afissos is also a good base for excursions around Pelion.
