The Captial of Fira is not only the life and buzz of Santorini where you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants with all types of cuisines, bars, shops and nightlife, but also the centre of the island meaning there is no long journey to reach any part of the island. The town is filled with cobbled narrow paths with most of it being pedestrian. Walkers will be glad to know from Fira you can walk to the neigbouring villages along the cliff tops offering amazing caldera panoramic views, such as Firostefani, Imerovigli and last but not least Oia Approximately only a 4km distance from Santorini Airport, 5km to the nearest beach Kamari, 8km from Athinios Port and 14km from the traditional village of Oia, 400meters from the Prehistoric Museum of Fira, a 5minute walk to the famous cable car which takes you to the old port. ATMs, Postoffice, Main Bus station, Pharmacies, also a couple of minutes walking distance.
