This 120 m2 detached cottage/villa with it's shady relaxing 150 m2 garden is in a friendly residential area, at the south end of Corfu town. 2 km from old town center (spianada square). Away from the town centre nightlife buzz and fuzz but close to visit easily. A short walk from the only 2 town beaches, a other resort swimming pool (free entrance), and major attraction Mouse island. Front and side garden you will much enjoy. With a BBQ, hammocks, and a small bio vegetable garden to pick from. The windows have mosquito nets to keep anything annoying with little wings out, so you can enjoy the fresh summer breeze. The handmade build in living room beds (sofas) have proper single bed mattresses. The AC is here. The rest of the house keeps quite fresh, but just in case you feel unconfutable on a very hot day, there are fans in both two bedrooms. The bedrooms has a king size double beds and one of them has a extra window on the ceiling. The cottage hosted for decades one of Corfu’s first taverns, in the early 60's, and kept many of those elements (wood, stone fireplace, part brick floor) when fully renovated and partly reconstructed the in 2015. The neighborhood is a well-known friendly residential area, in the Corfu town peninsula of Kanoni. Everyone is welcomed here. Espacially in night time, it is quite (in high season, the street can get busy in day time). It has good, frequent, on the doorstep, public bus transpotation! Every 20 min. Many things you might need are with in short walking distance. Supermarket, grocery shop, bakery and cafe ect. Down town centre, old venetian town, is only 1.9 km straight down the street. Apart from staying in corfu town, 3 good reasons for staying here are: •The only beaches in Corfu town are a walk away. One organized, convenient for families, and one hidden in the paradise royal forest/garden. A fantastic open to public (not many know this) swimming pool bar, just 600m up the road, in a nice holiday resort. • Its a 700 metre walk to the 258. 000 sq. metre Mon Repo Royal garden. Great for nature lovers. Quite walking paths, places to swim or just relax and enjoy a high hill view of the ionian sea. •Some great places for eating at in the area– well known to locals- with beautiful landscapes and see view. At Garitsa bay and kanoni peninsula small fishing boat habour.
