The apartment is currently undergoing a renovation and many rooms will be new when you arrive. Please be prepared for some differences from the photos. Thank you The 4th floor, a 107 sq.m. traditional apartment is bright and peaceful. Partially refurbished in July 2018, it is appreciated by both families and groups of friends. 4 people can sleep comfortably in beds, 2 in a sofa bed plus a baby crib*. It is 4 min. to the metro and close to every site of interest - a walking person's delight! The decoration suggests an insider's experience of living in Athens today. The apartment itself consists of two bedrooms, a large living & dining room, a kitchen and two restrooms (bathroom, toilet). There are balconies on both sides, enabling guests to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink outdoors. In all rooms the air conditioning units and the glass doors are newly installed, as is a solar collector for warm water. Mattresses, bed sheets and kitchen utensils and the TV set are new or mostly new. Business travelers can depend on a fast and reliable wifi connection, a variety of comfortable working furniture. | *optional Baby Furniture Set (pls. see photo gallery) at an additional price, paid in cash on arrival. It consists of: large baby crib, baby food chair, baby bath tub, and folding stroller. Please order for it a week before your arrival.

Welcome to Friends & Family! I am Michalis, your host and also an artist. I am a local and I tend to the apartment in person. My guests are usually families or groups of friends that ask for a stay not of luxury, but of quality and comfort. I usually greet my guests and show them the apartment in person. I can answer your questions, if any, and I will be happy to share insights and tips. Keep in mind that I live and work around the corner, and that I don't mind to be reached if my guests need me! Most of the original art you will see in the apartment is created by me.

The advantage of this apartment is its location. The Acropolis and major archaeological sites are within walking distance, as is Plaka, Monastiraki and the downtown area for shopping and the nightlife spots of Gazi and the Technopolis. The neighbourhood, Thissio -also Thesseion- is considered one of the most pretty areas of central Athens. It is a safe & genuine neighbourhood, part of old Athens and on its footpath grid for pedestrians. The street is quiet as is the the apartment.
