perfect location near Zorba’s Beach, a family hotel with attentive staff, that allows us early arrival and late check out. the rooms were clean with amazing view from the balcony and a beautiful garden with a nice breakfast by the pool. we would recommend this property and we will happily return in the future.

In the foothills of the mountain where the film of “Zorbas” was shot , in a quiet and beautiful Cretan landscape “Artemis Village” is located. This complex is consisted of 13 separate apartments ,each with one or two bedrooms, and all set in 8 acres of lush ,overgrown trees and flowers. The hotel has been fully renovated in 2017 and offers our guests the opportunity to enjoy all modern amenities. Further more “Artemis Village” is only a 10 minute walk from the pretty , sandy beach of Stavros ,where famous Zorba danced the “syrtaki”. The apartments, attractively designed on different levels to maximize privacy, are comfortably and traditionally furnished with modern amenities including built-in sofa beds in the lounges. They all have air-conditioning units, telephone, satellite television, hairdryer, safety deposit box, modern tiled shower rooms and fully equipped kitchens with oven, coffee machine ,kettle , toaster and iron. FREE Wi-Fi Internet available (bring your own laptop, iPad, iPhone, etc )
Stavros , is literally a 10 minute stroll where you will find some good tavernas and cantinas. The mini markets sell fresh bread, milk, fruit and vegetables as well as other basic food requirements. A larger supermarket is also situated a couple of kilometers away in village of Chorafakia, in which you will find more tavernas ,served home cooking tradinional cretan food . There are six buses run daily from Stavros to Chania that pass through the larger village of Kounoupidiana . Taxis also can be called at any time. You can also visit the graves of Venizelos, the two major political and prime ministers of Greece, located on the hill of Prophet Elias, in a beautifully designed space environment with panoramic views towards the city of Chania and the region. The following attractions are in the same direction, so if you wish, you can combine them into a walk. By car you will reach the monastery of Agia Triada Tzagarolon and from there you will continue to Gouverneto Monastery, where the road ends. Then you walk downhill to the paved path to the cave of Panagia Arkoudiotissa followed by derelict Catholic.
