1.5 kilometers from the complex there is the beautiful traditional village of Melana, which is literally the heart of Tsakonia. This village is divided into the Upper Neighborhood of Pano Melana and in Kato Gitonia or Kato Melana. In this village, large and young speak Tsakonika a language that is essentially the continuation of Ancient Dorian language. There is a small building where you can find the folklore museum of the village. Besides them on the hill above the village in Antiquity there was one of the two sanctuaries dedicated to the worship of god Apollo in Kynouria. The temple was dedicated to god Apollo, who was considered a protector of milk and cheese, and called him APOLLONA TYRITA and built the temple on the heights of the Inlains, where today there is the small chapel of Prophet Elias built on the foundations of the Temple of Apollo Trita. There, when the excavations were made, a number of statues and valuables were found among which a golden buckle, which was then placed on their chicks, representing a lion and wrote in the Ancient Doric Apollon Tyrita Emmi (I am the Apollo Trinita). From this Ancient inscription we gave and the name of the accommodation.
1,5 χιλιόμετρα από το συγκρότημα υπάρχει το πανέμορφο παραδοσιακό χωριό Μέλανα που είναι κυριολεκτικά η καρδιά της Τσακωνιάς . Αυτό το χωριό χωρίζεται στην Πάνω γειτονιά η Πάνω Μέλανα και στην Κάτω Γειτονιά η Κάτω Μέλανα. Σε αυτό το χωριό μεγάλοι και νέοι μιλούν τα Τσακώνικα μια γλώσσα που στην ουσία είναι η συνέχεια της Αρχαίας Δωρικής γλώσσας. Υπάρχει ένα μικρό κτίριο στο οποίο στεγάζετε το Λαογραφικό μουσείο του χωριού.Πέραν αυτών στο ύψωμα πάνω από το χωριό στην Αρχαιότητα υπήρχε ένα από τα δύο Ιερά που ήταν αφιερωμένα στην λατρεία του θεού Απόλλωνα στην Κυνουρία. Ο ναός λοιπόν αυτός ήταν αφιερωμένος στον θεό Απόλλωνα που θεωρείτο προστάτης του γάλακτος και του τυριού γιαυτό και τον ονόμασαν ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝΑ ΤΥΡΙΤΑ και έκτισαν τον ναό στο ύψωμα των Μελάνων εκεί που σήμερα υπάρχει το μικρό εκκλησάκι του Προφήτη Ηλία το οποίο έχει κτισθεί πάνω στα θεμέλια του Ναού του Απόλλωνα Τυρίτα. Εκεί όταν έγιναν οι ανασκαφές βρέθηκαν διάφορα αγάλματα και τιμαλφή μεταξύ των οποίων και μία χρυσή πόρπη που έβαζαν τότε στις χλαμύδες τους,που παριστά ένα λέοντα και έγραφε στην Αρχαία Δωρική ΑΠΕΛΟΝ ΤΥΡΙΤΑΣ ΕΜΙ .(Είμαι του Απόλλωνα Τυρίτα).Από αυτή την Αρχαία επιγραφή δώσαμε και το όνομα στο κατάλυμα.
