Property has been fully refurbished March note: This property does not have a cot or note: Although Wisteria accepts one dog, the garden is not enclosed and the field next door is full of sheep. Dogs need to be monitored at all times.

The village has shops, pubs, a 13th-century church, Grasmere Lake, and Grasmere Sports, where you can watch Cumberland Wrestling. Ambleside and Lake Winderemere are 5 miles away and have shops, pubs, restaurants, and the 17th-century Bridge House, one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Lake Windermere offers cruises, boat trips, and watersports. Windermere and Keswick are nearby. Grasmere makes a great Lake District base.
