The flat is superbly located five minutes walk away from Jesmond Dene, a beautiful green valley in the heart of the city, perfect for exploring and relaxing. The nearby Cradlewell area offers a number of boutique retail and dining opportunities. For shopping, check out: - Rehills, high quality groceries and fine beverages - Grate, artisan cheesemonger - Something Good, sustainable foodstuffs and household goods For food and drink, we recommend: - Birria Bella, incredible pavement tacos and frozen margaritas - Peace and Loaf, locally sourced tasting menus and secret backstreet pie dispensary - The Punch Bowl Hotel, virtually perfect pub with a superb beer and wine selection and excellent food - don’t miss the Tokyo fried chicken on a Wednesday! If that wasn’t enough, a 15 minute walk into West Jesmond offers more vibrant independent shops on Acorn Road and a quarter-mile of bars and dining on Osborne Road. The bus can get you into Newcastle in a few minutes, but if you want to walk it’s only half an hour to Haymarket, and you can get a great feel for the east side of the city in that time. Newcastle offers far too many attractions to list here - suffice to say if you are tired of Newcastle you are tired of life!
