Sulehay Woods have a magical display of flora from snowdrops in February to bluebells in April. Simply stunning! The cottage adjoins our own home so we are usually here to meet guests and offer advice about the area if you need it. With easy access to the A1, A47 and A14, it is the ideal location to explore everything this beautiful and undiscovered area has to offer. Having lived in the area for many years, we moved to Old Sulehay Cottages in 2014 and have been transforming it ever since! Our horses live at home with us, together with two dogs and the farm cat. the setting of the property is second to none and we are surrounded by three Nature Reserves, all a stones throw from the gate. We love the peace and tranquility of living here and hope you relax and enjoy it as much as we do.

Stamford is just a 10 minute drive away. With it's has artisan cafes, shops and restaurants, it is also home to Burghley House, which was built by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, between 1555 and 1587. The house is a sightseeing must and also offers beautiful gardens to explore. Take a picnic - entry to the park and grounds is free. It is also home to the world famous Burghley Horse Trials. A few miles away is the lovely restored station where you can begin a trip on the Nene Valley Railway and experience steam train travel from a bygone age. Offering boat hire on the River Nene, Oundle is close by. Surrounded on three sides by the river, it is a beautiful stone built market town, serving the surrounding valleys since Saxon times. Peterborough, with its beautiful Norman cathedral is a 20 minute drive, and offers great shopping and eateries. Rutland Water is a 20-minute drive away and offers great leisure activities including a water side stroll, sailing and windsurfing classes, and bike hire. Travel a bit further afield and visit historic Cambridge, easily accessed via a park and ride system. Whatever your interests, the area has much to offer!
