Luna's Lookout Luna’s lookout is a luxury bolthole for two full of extra special little luxuries to make your stay a memorable one. Inside, Luna’s Lookout, has got a super comfy kingsize bed, a fully functioning kitchen ready to cook up a storm, built in bluetooth speakers, an ensuite bathroom with power shower, fluffy robes and towels and TV with WiFi. As much as we love them, Luna's Lookout is a child and pet free holiday retreat. A Japanese soaking tub sits pride of place on the deck. A bath designed for two, undercover with jacuzzi jets and mood lighting, positioned to look across over the fields and farm, pure bliss. In the warmer months, a BBQ complete with charocal and fire lighters will be provided as well as comfy outdoor seats and snuggly throws so you both can stargaze. Life on the farm buzzes all around – with cows and sheep in the surrounding fields, there’s always something to see. We are happy to show you around and introduce you to some of the animals – including our resident Sheltland pony, Alma.

We, Wynne and Catherine, are the third generation farmers here at Trelan Farm. We live on the farm with our three children, Betrys, Iori and Ani (hopefully the fourth generation of farmers!) and Wynne’s parents, Emyr & Sandra. The farm has been farmed by our family for over 75 years and over the years has seen many changes, oh if the old stone walls could talk they would tell quite the story. Currently we farm beef cattle and sheep. We also have chickens and guest favourite, our Shetland pony Alma. We wake up to the glorious bird song and are visited by all types of wildlife from Hares, Owls and Pheasants. We know we are lucky enough to live in what we consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the UK. We’re so close to the city yet a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Catherine, having previously worked in a job that involved long hours and travelling all over, loved experiencing the relief of leaving it all behind and truly switching off when driving up those country lanes and hearing the bird song, we always knew Trelan Farm was too good to keep to ourselves.

Explore North Wales from the perfect base at Trelan Farm. The farm sits in the foothills of Moel Famau a popular peak for hikers and walkers with some truly stunning views across this designated AONB. Moel Famau is within walking distance from the farm gate and the walking route passes our local pub, The White Horse Inn, for a well desereved pint on the walk down. Also within easy reach, guests can visit a variety of attractions from stunning beaches & endless footpaths and bridleways (Loggerheads Country Park is a must visit) to the world-famous Snowdonia National Park and Offa’s Dyke. Trelan Farm is also well placed to visit the local market towns of Ruthin & Mold as well as the ancient city of Chester. The historic town of Ruthin has many medieval buildings including Wales’s oldest timber-framed house as well as the old jail with its grim reminder of past times. Markets are held regularly in the town centre and there is also the Ruthin Craft Centre and an interesting Art Trail. Visit Chester for its famous zoo as well as Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
