Chirk Castle, Chirk (3 miles) Not only is there the historic castle to explore, with over 480 acres of estate parkland as well as 5.5 acres of manicured lawns, clipped yews, herbaceous borders and beautiful rose, shrub and rock gardens there is a plenty to see at Chirk Castle. Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk (3 miles) Eleven miles of stunning canal and countryside spanning two countries, along aqueducts, tunnels and viaducts. Chirk Aqueduct & Viaduct, Chirk (3 miles) Chirk Aqueduct is part of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal World Heritage site, which stretches from Chirk to the Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen itself. And 1.43km of the canal leading through Chirk Bank to Gledrid Bridge is also an Ancient schedule monument in its own right.
