Outside there's a wrap-around garden with lawn, decking, furniture, charcoal barbecue and a wood-fired hot tub, and off-road parking for two cars. Sorry, pets and dogs are not permitted. A travel cot can be requested. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the price. You'll find a shop in 4.9 miles and a pub in 0.8 miles. High Grounds Far Shepherd's Hut is a romantic base for a couple, looking to explore Derbyshire. Note: The property is set rurally on the owner's farm. Note: There are steps up to the property.

Neighbourhood information

Ashbourne, which is located at the southernmost point of the Peak District, is the epitome of an English market town, complete with a market place with stalls, an odd street layout, winding cobblestone lanes, coaching inns, and almshouses. The town was a posh social hub during its heyday in the 18th century, and many lovely Georgian structures from this time period still stand today. The town is still known as something of a sanctuary for antique hunters today and still has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and inns, but don't expect a deal! The Dove and Manifold Valleys are nearby for those who prefer more outdoor activities, while Alton Towers, with its thrilling collection of thrills and attractions, is only a short drive away for thrill seekers.
